The Monument to Joe Louis, known also as The Fist, is a memorial located at Detroit's Hart Plaza, dedicated to boxer Joe Louis. Joe Louis was the heavyweight boxing champion of the world from 1937 to 1950. The sculpture is 24-foot-long and weighs 8,000 pounds.
